| ELECTIONS 2008 13 September 2008 is the date for the next council election. If you are a resident ages 18 or older voting is compulsory. Non-resident property owners can vote but must register to vote. Non-Resident Ratepayers Register to VOTE It's your right as a ratepayer to ensure your future retirement or investment plans are secure. Get on to the ‘Non-residents roll’ by completing a registration form available after the 6th June 2008 from any local Council in NSW Roll closes on the 4th August 2008. YOU ARE ENTITLED to vote in the Shoalhaven even if you live and vote in another local government election. Postal vote forms available on line.
